Dice Maestro Presents
Inspired by the computer game written for the Commodore Pet by Paul Jay
Published in the first-ever edition of Computer & Video Games in November 1981
In the beginning there was the listing. Thirty years ago Computer & Video Games published listings of readers' games that you could type in and play on your own computer. Printed in the first issue was Nibblers, which required 8K of memory, a hefty chunk of memory in those heady days of home computing.
The magazine set the scene: "On patrol above the dam and the town you are sworn to protect, you suddenly notice huge creatures with drooling snapping jaws coming from the east..."
We've totally updated the game for the web, bringing the nibblers to life and even creating the city of Petropolis in honour of the computer for which the game was originally written.
